RÉSUMÉ DE LA CONFÉRENCE
This $1.8 billion, massive dome entertainment venue in Las Vegas, is unlike anything you’ve ever seen, and it’s scheduled to open in 2023.

The Sphere’s dome alone weighs 13,000 tons and has a surface area of 220,000 square feet; it uses six million pounds of steel. The Sphere will be 366 feet tall and 516 feet wide at its widest point T and will have 17,500 seats.

It leverages a new beamforming technology with Infrasound haptic systems that essentially gives every seat in the house a first-row experience. To create the dome and the framing for the immersive surface (the layer below the dome where the screens are mounted), house fantastic structural and construction elements that offer trendsetting solutions, including castings!

TARANA HAQUE
Cast Connex

Tarana Haque is the Canadian Technical Sales Representative for CAST CONNEX. She received her Bachelors in Civil Engineering and Masters of Applied Sciences from the University of Toronto with a focus on tubular connections. She has been a design engineer with Cast Connex since 2012 specializing in custom casting design and product development. Tarana is a registered professional engineer in Ontario and has designed numerous steel castings for award-winning projects, including the Salesforce Transit Center and Frances Appleton Pedestrian Bridge. She provides support to architects, engineers and contractors who specify and use Cast Connex products and services.
