“DeepRoot Canada presents an indepth discussion by James Urban, FASLA (Urban Trees + Soils) about the critical principles that must be followed in order to assure that trees will grow large and healthy in an urban environment.

Jim Urban is a landscape architect who was responsible for introducing many innovations, including most of the current standards relating to urban tree plantings. Jim was awarded the ASLA National Medal of Excellence for his contributions to the profession and is the author of Up By Roots: Healthy Soils and Trees in the Built Environment. His talk is in English.
