“Architizer.com announces that an international jury has chosen a winner of Competition Competition 2010. Dubai-ing, a project by Mickael Papin, David Neil, Magali Lamoureux, Pierre Sillande, and Nicolas Lombardi, was selected as the winner over 643 projects that were submitted. Judging took place Friday at the Relative-Space Design Showroom, and included jury chair Juergen Mayer H alongside Andres Lepik (Curator of Contemporary Architecture, Museum of Modern Art), Ada Tolla (Principal, LOT-EK), and Jared Della Valle (Principal, Della Valle Bernheimer).
Architizer’s Competition Competition 2010, is the first annual award given to the best un-winning competition entry of 2009. Every year architects produce thousands of amazing projects for competitions, but only one winner from each contest. Competition Competition 2010 invited architects to recycle and resubmit these gems to compete for recognition based solely on their architectural merit, not on the criteria of the original competition for which they were created. The award is an extension of Architizer’s mission to revolutionize the way architecture is valued and consumed.”
