Announcement – Faces of Design (Berlin) – "New strategic alliances and educational programme"
From Anna Rojahn, Director, Faces of Design:
The last few months have been quite a busy time for us, but as a result we have some exciting news to share with you: we are very happy to announce some new strategic alliances, and the launch of our new educational programme.
The online presence of Faces of Design is mainly an information portal and career platform for designers. Interdisciplinary and intercultural in nature, we help designers raise their game by providing them with inspirational and informative content, and by building connections with industry players.
Based on our belief that communications, cooperations and partnerships are an invaluable asset to any individual or company, Faces of Design has decided to launch a new programme to foster the dialogue between creatives and companies on a more concrete level. Together with some of our friends and partners, we now offer a range of different formats, from hands-on design workshops to inspirational talks and symposia. A series of seminars on design thinking is due to be launched later this year, and we are greatly looking forward to the first BAUHAUS live design workshop with Werner Aisslinger in Berlin:
*BAUHAUS live: New interdisciplinary design workshop programme in Berlin
From June 7th until June 12th, Faces of Design will be organising the first BAUHAUS live design workshop “My Visionary Bauhaus” in Berlin, together with Hidden Fortress. The workshop will be hosted by Werner Aisslinger and run in partnership with the Bauhaus Archive Berlin, in conjunction with the DMY Design Festival.
*Media cooperation with Design Hotels
Faces of Design is happy to be supporting the Design Hotels(tm) Future Forum 2010 in Berlin.
*MUSCON Sherp: Launch of a new internet platform exclusive to museums and curators
Faces of Design has recently launched MUSCON Sherp, an online portal exclusive to museums and curators, bringing unprecedented transparency and convenience to the growing market for travelling exhibitions. On MUSCON Sherp (short for MUSeum CONference SHort term Exhibition Replacement Platform), museums have the opportunity to present their travelling exhibitions to a global community of curators and cultural institutions. MUSCON Sherp was executed in cooperation with the Vitra Design Museum, the Victoria and Albert Museum, the Museum of Design Zurich, and the Netherlands Architecture Institute, and is run by Faces of Design.
*The Faces of Design Awards 2010: 34 winners about to be presented to more than 1.000 key decision makers
We also had the great pleasure of announcing the winners of the first Faces of Design Awards. The Awards attracted over 140 participants from 37 countries; the 34 winners will now be promoted to over 1.000 key decision makers in the world of design.
