Announcement – International Federation of Interior Architects/Designers (IFI) – "World Interiors Day 2011"
“Dear Colleagues and Friends,
Greetings from Montreal!
On behalf of the Executive Board of IFI, I invite you to celebrate World Interiors Day on Saturday May 28, 2011 with the theme “Green Interiors.”
World Interiors Day (WID) is an annual global event, spearheaded by IFI, and designed to bring Interior Architecture/Design into the spotlight. WID draws the attention of the public; enhances knowledge and understanding of the discipline; encourages cooperation between professionals; and showcases their contribution to the betterment of society.
This year marks the inaugural official adoption of World Interiors Day in our headquartered nation of Canada. As WID grows in scale and involvement every year, it is our ambition to see more national and regional governments mark this important date on their official calendars.
Once again we will be celebrating World Interiors Day this year with more than 70 member associations in over 45 countries worldwide. The goal of World Interiors Day (WID) is to promote an awareness of the contribution of the interior design profession to the public. If you have any queries or would like any suggestions as to how to get involved, please feel free to contact our Secretariat at secretary@ifiworld.org.
We look forward to hearing about your activities and sharing them with our members on our website!
Thank you and warm regards,
Deirdre Gould
