2009 Canadian Society of Landscape Architects Awards : les firmes québécoises récompensées!
“The annual awards program hosted by the University of Manitoba Department of Landscape Architecture recognizes excellence in landscape architecture in categories of Design, Planning & Analysis, Research, Communications, Landscape Management, New Directions, and Residential Design.
This year out of 56 entries, 13 projects received national awards and 12 projects received regional awards.
Four projects received National Honour Awards: La Promenade Samuel-De Champlain in Quebec City by la consortium Daoust Lestage inc. – Williams Asselin Ackaoui – Option Amenagement; Outremont Campus at the Université de Montréal by Groupe Cardinal Hardy; Lake Ontario Park Master Plan in Toronto by Field Operations; and Point Pleasant Park Comprehensive Plan in Halifax by Ekistics Planning and Design, NIP paysage and HRM.
Six projects received National Merit Awards: Lakeview Community Education and Landscape Politics project in Mississauga by the Centre for Landscape Research at the University of Toronto; Ground: the Landscape Architect Quarterly by the Ontario Association of Landscape Architects; Green Infrastructure in Calgary’s Mobility Corridors by the Design Centre for Sustainability at the University of British Columbia; Southeast False Creek Waterfront – Phase 1 in Vancouver by PWL Partnership Landscape Architects Ltd.; Garden City Play Environment in Richmond by space2place design inc.; and Spadina Wavedeck in Toronto by West 8 + DTAH (du Toit Allsopp Hillier).”
